Dustin the Turkey was eliminated at last nights semi-final.

Do you have any views on Ireland's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, not making it to the final?
It was only taking the mick anyway and if he did get through he would not have gotten newhere, cause all the other countries just vote for each other.
Reply:Not surprising they never made it through. It was utter rubbish! I've read the lyrics, Ireland did themselves no favours, really - the first line is 'Oh I come from a nation what knows how to write a song' - doesn't seem like it going by this!





Fair enough, it may have been a 'comedy' entry, but it wasn't good.
Reply:Ireland has a great tradition in music and I don't think that the "turkey" is a representation of this beautiful country that I have visited and loved, so I am very happy it didn't go to the finals.
Reply:I didn't watch it but I read about it on the BBC this morning.





I think all Eurovision it meant to be tongue-in-cheek but I think Ireland went a bit too far!





They forget that some of the countries actually take it extremely seriously!
Reply:I think the Irish people will be glad, after Dana and Johnny Logan they don't need dustin, i only saw him on the news and that was enough.
Reply:Ah I think it sucks. He was just there taking the piss in the first place. Take it the rest of europe didnt find it particuarly funny.
