I've read that bloc-voting is a big factor in the Eurovision. Listening to past winners it seems that music quality alone is not the only or even the major factor. So is Eurovision just about politics?
Does bloc-voting predetermines who wins the Eurovision song contest?
Definitely bloc-voting is a big factor but NOT enough to determine the winner,of course music plays role but quality not necessary(Ukraine 2007).what i want to Say is that maybe bloc voting offers a good place to a country but never the 1st place.for a country to manage the victory points from almost all the countries are needed,no eastern country can win with only eastern votes or western with the support from west only...
it's easy to understand this just by looking the winner every year,Finland came first because the song liked to Europe but this year didn't so it didn't get enough votes.
